Bajaj auto today announced that it has shelved plans for a stake/alliance with Triumph motorcycles of UK which it had been negotiating with for the past year. Bajaj will instead increase it's stake in KTM to over 30% by the first quarter next year.

TVS Motors has launched an upgrade of it's popular Apache RTR 160 fitted with rear disc (RD) brake. The updated bike is expected to be priced at a premium of Rs 2000 over the current Apache RTR 160.

Suzuki will launch it's flagship model motorcycles, the GSX1300R Hayabusa and M1800R Intruder later today at Taj hotel in New Delhi.
Expected to be launched at a premium over the currently available Yamaha R1 at Rs 12.5 lakhs ex-showroom, the bikes will be available from select showrooms in 6-7 cities initially.
