Two wheeler maker Yamaha on Monday said it plans to launch two models -- R15 and FZ 150 -- in India during the current calender year.

"We will launch two products in the Indian market to boost our sales. R15 will be launched pretty soon while FZ 150 would be introduced around Diwali," Yamaha Executive Vice-President Takahiro Maeda told reporters here.

Both the bikes were showcased in the Auto Expo held in Delhi earlier this year.

The company targets sales of 2-3 lakh bikes in the current year, he said, adding that it sold 1.2 lakh motorcycles in India last year.

Yamaha also plans to set up more company-owned showrooms in India. "We plan to set up eight company-owned showrooms in the country in the current year," Maeda said.

At present, it has 400 dealers in the country.
